THE STAN MUSIAL STORY by Gene Schoor

THE STAN MUSIAL STORY

By

Pub Date: April 18th, 1955

Current in Gene Schoor's series of sports biographies ( see The Ted Williams Story, The Jack Dempsey Story etc.) this traces the baseball hitter's rise to fame. The terms, if not quite as eulogistic as those used to describe Ted Williams, nevertheless are still pretty redolent with praise from the start, when Stan was a promising schoolboy pitcher near Rochester, to the finish, when ""The Man"" is a strong candidate for Baseball's Hall of Fame. Still very much in the public eye, Musial and his story will have their marked appeal for fans of all ages, and no wonder. He seems such a likeable guy.
