KIRKUS REVIEW

Tunney's own story of his development from a scrawny New York lad to the world's heavyweight champion. He pays tribute to the part played in his growth by military training, during the First World War, and he writes too of the balance of intellectual development. Personal anecdotes of his experiences in the ring, and with the Marines in France, and something (not enough) of his present work in the U.S.N. in charge of the Physical Fitness Program.
