KIRKUS REVIEW

Dreams of the Hambletonian and winning on the trotting tracks at Goshen lie in the back of young Martin Dennis' mind as he hopefully trains his colt Good Luck. Scarcely a few hours old, Good Luck is brought to the Dennis farm after the death of his mother. Martin nurses and rears him but his problems are twofold when Good Luck's pedigree must be established in the face of some crooked local racing, and when an accident with a cart brings financial problems. Finally the two prove themselves at a county fair and the way to Goshen is open.
