KIRKUS REVIEW

Another well written pl for freedom in a story of the year 1734 -- and a throttled press in New York. Matt is apprenticed to the printer Zonger, who ris imprisonment to spk his mind on the injustices of the governor. Matt attempts to secure for him the services of a Philadelphia lawyer; works briefly for Franklin, returns to New York and bondage, until both he and his master are freed. A potentially good story, with a new setting, hogs down a bit in over-zealous effort to teach a lesson.
