THE END IS KNOWN

A man falls to his death from an apartment where he was waiting for a department store executive. Only the gently nurtured wife of the executive was able to supply any details to the police, for this inexplicable suicide.... But her husband was haunted by the mystery of why the man had come to him, and most of this book is concerned with his exploration of every tenuous clue leading into the man's past. At the end, he finds the answer- at home. Not a murder mystery in orthodox vein; well sustained interest.
