SNARED NIGHTINGALE

Agreeable romancing and intrigues in high style figure in the story of Nicholas Bray's homecoming from Italy to his rich inheritance as the Earl of Kyre in the Welsh Marches and to an enemy whose identity he must discover. When his heart settles on widowed Lady Thorpe he is confronted by the implacable Lady Marcle, whose young grandson is next in line for the carldom, and must employ wiles as devious as hers to stay alive and marry as he chooses. But his lady vanishes after the wedding and it is through a tightly plotted kidnapping that he regains her for keeps.
