KIRKUS REVIEW

One of the less extreme and younger English poets, with a substantial collection of verse. Some of classical inspiration, poems of age and death and love, a narrative silegery, epistles and elegies, a group of odes to America, etc. Despite the wide variety of themes and versification, there seemed a singular uniformity, a lack of poetic reative quality, a tendency to a glut of words.
