KIRKUS REVIEW

During the N.Y. City transit strike, Greta Marsh is forced into a car in which a man bleeds to death and she is barely able to escape with her life. Inspector Schmidt and his Boswell, Bagby, do not believe her, think she has been ""scared...silly"" but find that her powers of observation force them to distinguish between some coney furs and a Coney (hallmark) silver bowl... To be tolerant, tolerable.
