KIRKUS REVIEW

Good fun, even thought not the perfect baffler. Inspector Schmidt of the New York Police, runs into a mad household, two unreasonable women who do not make much sense, three murders, a lucky flier, a dead mouse and a greasepot. His thinking, minus the shoes that hurt his feet, puts the puzzle together.
