KIRKUS REVIEW

Inspector Schmidt shuttles from Chelsea to the upper East Side in New York City after he is mugged like a yokel and his bump on the head turns into a bump of direction as it heads him into narcotics traffic. A woman who loans one of her Cadillacs to a soda Jerker; two victims of lockjaw; a Jam shop and its special products; -- all help Schmitty close his case with a fighting flourish. Well policed.
