THE AELIAN FRAGMENT

Professor Samuel Teck, a wealthy American medieval scholar, journeys to Izmir, Turkey, in the hopes of obtaining the missing leaves to Aelian's 9th century Byzantine masterpiece, De Animalium Natura. Believe it or not, Sam Winds up instead with a subversive Russian manuscript listing the Moslem victims of their Siberian camps. Enter the CIA, the KGB, the PLO, Israeli agents and members of the Free Turkey Youth, all of whom want to publish and/or suppress a ""Moslem Gulag Archipelago"" which is apparently as important as an anti-gravity machine. Teck as in dreck--swallow hard lest this alphabet soup sticks in your throat.
