MAKE YOUR OWN MONSTROSITIES WITH TOOTH AND NAIL

Satirizing the do-it-yourself movement, this cavorts through the fields of plumbing, electricity, repairs, remodeling, gardening, kitchen and basement improvements, furniture building, room and house decoration, automobiles, etc., with unrestrained, unhelpful ideas and suggestions. There are projects of all kinds, from constructing a guillotine to creating a fool-proof medicine chest; there are idiotic guides for opening ketchup bottles, drilling eggs; there are aids for carving, paperhanging, kitchen activities, heating and cooling the house; and there are real photographs to illustrate much of the material. There is even an index which is no help at all. For those with low thresholds of risibilities, the stress and strain of being funny may not be unattractive.
