Temporarily out of work with a sagging bank balance, Gary Manning agrees to go to Panama in order to claim a ten thousand dollar debt for a friend and via an impersonation. What happens should definitely happen to a friend, for while becoming involved in a brace of murders and some incidental smuggling, Manning's romantic fortunes revive Coxe's Candidate is frankly routine but serviceable.
