DEATH STOPS THE FROLIC

An English village church supper ends in games, and murder via a kitchen knife, which is investigated by the local police. All present are questioned, alibis are numerous and seemingly unbreakable, until finally, a combination of the curiosity of an army camp sentry over night doings on a deserted farm, and the honest stubbornness of a Mormon who lived on God's time combine to locate the killer, a black market operator. Persistently British.
