A FOR ANDROMEDA

Based on a BBC serial this trans Atlanties a view of where apathy has gone, what individual resistance can -- possibly --prove. A British research team brings in a message from Mell, builds a super computer according to stipulations, and evolves a scientific creature which, in turn, is refined, via the machine, into Andromeda. Her existence, at first acclaimed, turns out to be a threat, and a rebel in science defies authority to destroy her. Other times, other worlds -- and other people, this is replete with binary arithmetic, circuitry- and doubtful progress.
