No mental push-ups, but an expression and appreciation which begins with ""the great little things of interest about the home"" and extends onward and upward at a simple level of understanding. Love, friendship, humility, the dignity of work, and again and again faith substantiate the human need of inner values; books and writers extend the vista further; city scenes and country landscapes amplify the response to things seen as well as read. And the whole provides a volume of short essays which make a common contact and reflect a common experience as well as the serenity of say- David Grayson- which is the audience it will reach.
