LOST PEACE IN CHINA by George Moorad

Email this review

A recapitulation of the situation in China and its danger to the world today, this is also a criticism of United States policy in the face of the advance of Russian communism. The Open Door versus the Iron Curtain is reviewed from the cities of Hong Kong, Chungking, Shanghai, from Kalgan and Manchuria, in relation to the tragedy of Chiang Kai-Shek, in following communist penetration in Japan, Korea, Indo China, the Philippines and Indonesia. He condemns the failure of American processes, he pictures the plight and problems of the people as well as the government, he tells of travel and personal investigation, he analyzes the Chefoo decision, the pact at Yalta, their effect on China's national and international status. His reportorial sense makes his information graphic, his feelings are strong about our impotent course, and the book as a result is a strong warning.
