It's a bound calendar that could be used for identification purposes with the very young, or for a lesson for beginning readers. Each double page spread offers the name of the month, a full size water color picture and several small black and white pictures of appropriately seasonal activities, with a short descriptive sentence of vague relevance (""January. I dress up and play."") The pictures are bright, lucid, and poster-ish. Temporarilly useful.
