BETTER GYMNASTICS FOR GIRLS

Starting with a few warm-ups, Sullivan devotes a section to each of the four Olympic events especially created for women--floor exercises, balance beam activities, vaulting, and uneven parallel bar stunts--with the usual straightforward directions and sequence of photos for each roll, mount, turn, cast, etc. There's a brief history, with profiles of Olga and Nadia, and Sullivan blames the lack of government financial support for Americans' lagging behind; but this is mostly a how-to--and trim, like his other Better. . . sports guides.
