THIS IS PRO HOCKEY

Sullivan is aiming at the first-generation fans ice hockey seems to have been attracting recently, and his basic play diagrams, rules, and strategy are well laced with entertaining anecdotes about past and present greats. He shows how Bobby Orr rewrote the book for defensemen, gives the scoop on the ""Shero system,"" and tells how much a goalie pays for his skates. Readers can be confident that they will be able to talk a good game even if they've never been at rinkside, and old timers will find the action generally brisker here than in those warmed over recaps of Stanley cup playoffs. If we bought one hockey book a year, this would be it.
