THE BIG BOOK OF REAL LOCOMOTIVES by George Zaffo

THE BIG BOOK OF REAL LOCOMOTIVES

By

Publisher: Grosset & Dunlap

Another in Mr. Zaffo's series about modern machines, this like the others doubles in interest for those who want to know what goes on down to the last nut and bolt, and the less particular picture book addicts who just like to stare at machines. Again the pictures are pactacular -- this time the full-color pictures of engines and appendages pull out to a width of four pages -- and the drawing is clear and smooth. For the older addicts there is information about the history of locomotives, familiar types of locomotives, as well as industrial, and a section which explains some of the complicated operations of a railroad yard. A handsome display item, red meat for boys. A ""big treasure book"".
