DEATH IN THE STOCKS

Amateur sleuth Giles Carrington acquits himself as a pro in springing Cousin Tony and his charmingly scatterbrained sister Antonia from a murder charge anent the dispatching of their half-brother Arnold Vereker, found slumped in a village green stocks. Along the way another half-brother shows up and is similarly silenced. Much intra-familial bickering but Miss Meyer does rather better in country houses than in mod flats. After the stocks discovery--a rapid decline.
