This ingenious little story of how a farmer and his little granddaughter solved the problem of rabbit nibbling, has much room for prediction from the listener. In whatever way Grandfather and Nora build their fences, the rabbits stealthily creep in by moonlight and nibble away at the garden goodies. Finally, Nora's clever little plan for a rabbit garden goes into effect, with a low fence for the jumpers, a high fence with holes for the crawlers and an open space for the quiet hoppers. Now humans and animals alike are content.
