THE SUMMER OF GOOD HOPE by Georgiana Philips

THE SUMMER OF GOOD HOPE

By

Publisher: Putnam

Rosalind is nine and Charlie is seven. They are essentially modern children, with intelligent and inquiring minds and respect for their elder's opinions and emotions. They are a bit priggish, but their horizons are not confined to nursery walls and they have come up against native Vermonters, as well as their mother's liberal circle. Their great problem, and the one with which the book is concerned, is to get their mother remarried, so that there can be a baby in the family. Amusing and original in plot and development, it provides appealing and entertaining reading.
