KIRKUS REVIEW

Back to South America, this time with a wife, Jackuie, Durrell continues to collect what sounds like the most personable animals ever handled. And a doura-couli monkey, a crab eating raccoon, a pampas grey fox and an anteater become decided pets. There is a visit to the Chaco and all the excitements of the chase when they saw rheas being caught with bolos.
