LET'S TALK ABOUT COMPUTERS

By

Pub Date: Nov. 20th, 1973
Publisher: Jonathan David

Snyder offers some sketchy introductory chapters on computer history, the mechanics of storage and processing, and the binary number system, none of which Berger (above) covers; in addition the chapter on computer art includes some nifty pictures which are more interesting than the usual dull photos of offices and cabinets contained in both books. Otherwise this is an even moro superficial and less questioning survey of ""how computers help"" doctors, teachers, airlines, banks, government, etc., and may even in the near future (?) take over the housewife's cooking, party planning and shopping chores -- thus freeing her, presumably, to be a key puncher.
