CHINA CHANGES

Personal adventures and a growing interest in and understanding of China and the Chinese. There is a rather fresh viewpoint, a zest for finding out what it's all about, a new angle on the internal warfare, an appreciation of China's slow and deliberate absorption of the forces which seem at first to be swamping her. There's nothing particularly important in this as a contribution to the Chinese picture -- but it is moderately good reading.
