Derv Nagy is a special child; he whirls to straighten himself out and actually he's a finer precision instrument as a direction finder than a compass. Some of this he understands when he learns how he had been born--weightless--in space. Avoiding notoriety, just as his parents had once, he disappears after he's been used as a receiver in a government experiment for the signal which will confirm the evidence of life on another planet.... Not too hi-sci-fi, this is programmed for all readers by the sympathetic aspects of the story per se.
