Another good one. A tenderfoot finds himself, after a period of discomfort and disappointment in an Alaskan mining town. It took disaster and a flu epidemic to bring him to a realization that there was a place for him and that he had the guts to fill it. And circumstances made him a ""sourdough"" almost too quickly and a ""prospector"" by sheer accident. Credible or not -- it makes a good yarn.
