THE RUNAWAY DEER

Here's a book illustrated by the already popular illustrator of Little Lamb, with a text that has more substance and more story interest. The story revolves around the adventures of a deer, brought up by humans in a fenced-in park, and loosed by a storm. He had an exciting time but was glad to get back to his safe life. The pictures in soft woodsy tones of browns and grey are beautifully reproduced.
