KIRKUS REVIEW

A sequel to Sachim Bird, and very dependent on it for complete understanding at the start. Once under way, the story goes on its own merits. An adventure story of the English castaway and his encounters with Indian friends and foes. The setting is an island off the coast of Maine, and various tribes of Indians are in conflict over fishing and hunting rights. Robeen, in befriending several Indians, helps heal the breach between the tribes. The Maine Indian material is less familiar than most, and this fits into that picture.
