KIRKUS REVIEW

An old-fashioned yet scholarly appeal to the best in civilization to join forces, spiritual and material, to learn to live well, through courage, freedom and security. Two lectures delivered in the Universities of Bristol, Glasgow and Birmingham breathe a faith in old fashioned virtues. In cold surgical fashion he cuts through the weaknesses of the totalitarian philosophies and makes a shambles of their intellectual sophistries. He believes in the basic theory of the League and unity of scholarship. A book for a limited audience that follows the Hibbert Lectures and that wants to bolster faith in righteousness.
