Here's a book that will please no one, but interest many. It's a defense of America against the onslaught of the modern, intellectuals -- it's an attack on the shibboleths of many, a criticism of many popular idols, a commentary on the movies and radio and sporting enthusiasms and books -- and yet it indicates where these could be contributing factors to a greater America. Republicans won't like it, because he gives Roosevelt the benefit of the doubt; Democrats won't like it because he doesn't hesitate to rip policies apart and see them for what they are; he doesn't leave fascists and communists and socialists much to stand on. And still he has faith in America. Stimulating -- informative -- and grand reading.
