KIRKUS REVIEW

In four lines of sing-songy forced rhymes on each page, the author presents over-simplified instructions (fancy steps, care of skates, etc.) for the very young skater. The illustrations of a fattened up stick figure who barely changes position will not provide much help as a how-it-is-done example for the beginner on blades. Not much material is available on the subject, but this is an inadequate entry for a sparse field.
