A boy, a girl, a pilot fish, the world undersea--a brief Italian idyll that appears to have been translated very poorly: the telling is awkward, the use of slang inappropriate (e.g. ""the whole village was having a ball""). And since very little happens until the close (when Enrico is forced to choose between sailing on Daniela's yacht and staying to help his father dive for coral), the stylistic flaws cancel out the story, however sensitively conceived it may have been.
