THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES

This is a translation of the text and commentary on the Acts of the Apostles by the noted Italian scriptural authority, Ricciotti. It is prefaced by an Introduction that discusses the general nature, division, authorship and critical evidence relevant to the text of the Acts. The text follows with a phrase by phrase and verse by verse linguistic and historical analysis, aimed at getting at the true meaning, appended to each verse by way of commentary. Painstaking scholarship is apparent throughout. The English translator has done scriptural students a great service in making Ricciotti's work available to them in English.
