A story of Navajo Weavers and Chanters, told by a woman who spent four summers living with an Indian family near an Arizona Trading Post. The experiences are largely concerned with learning the difficult art of weaving, with the nine-day sings, with a study of sand pictures and the actual words of the chants. A sincere interest in and love of Indian lore, a personal enthusiasm and sympathy stamps the work. But it is essentially a bit of research, dealing with a subject of definitely limited interest.
