KIRKUS REVIEW

The content is younger than the style, hence its position under Read Aloud books. Another story about a baby seal which loses its mother, and is brought through the early months of loneliness by kindly humans. This one differs, however, from most of them in the introduction of a certain amount of factual material about undersea life, as curiosity takes Casco on investigations of his own.
