AMERICAN CHAMPIONS by Gladys Emerson Cook

Email this review

15 full portraits and 100 smaller drawings -- by the author -- of well-known breeds of dogs, each identified by careful and accurate sketches of a famous champion of each particular breed. This is primarily to be sold as a picture book of dogs for dog , point-minded, ribbon conscious dog show fans, and such. Libraries may find it useful as a reference book because of the photographic clarity and accuracy; but the ordinary boy who likes his mutt pal will find it swanky and stuffy.
