A book on interior decorating, outlining the goals of achievement, and detailing many of the individual problems. Windows, walls, lighting, floors, furniture arrangement, decorative and table accessories, color, and a comprehensive cataloguing of available materials and objects to be used. It gives all the recent wrinkles in decorative usage, new products of manufacturers, and has outlines at the end of each chapter on all points covered, making it a course, or homestudy type of book. Fairly conservative, with the emphasis on good taste rather than faddy extremes, and on attaining comfortable, useful, charming rooms. There is a concise, though wide, coverage of information, and a fairly impersonal sort of guide.
