STILIMEADOW DAYBOOK

A companion to The Book of Stillmeadow (1948) this is again an almanac of the year, month by month, starting with April and coming full round. There are random thoughts and reminiscences, opinions and ideas, anecdotes and activities to supplement the seasonal changes, attributes and riches; there are ""experiences in rapture"" -- visual, auditory and culinary-; there are the animals and birds outdoors and the pets, cats and dogs, indoors; there are the years of growing into belonging to an old house and the way in which faith and willingness have helped to earn a way of life. And there are the people, family, neighbors, companions and friends who contribute to the rewards of the author's type of country living.
