LATE CLIMBS THE SUN

A better than average psychological novel of emotional conflict, told with poetic quality and sincerity. Tie-up with So Stood I (Culver), but with more plot and none of the religious element of that book. The ending is inconclusive --but the significant thing is that the man and woman have come -- in maturity -- to the realization that ties of duty need not necessarily supersede ties of love and a profound feeling which gives significance to life. A real story about real people, that will appeal to readers who like Helen Hull, Inez Haynes Irwin, etc.
