THE FIRST BOOK OF DOGS

By

Pub Date: Sept. 15th, 1949
Publisher: Franklin Watts

An addition to a fine series, this tells many interesting and dependable facts about many different species and the particular qualities for which each is known, including working dogs and Seeing Eye dogs. Then the author turns to her own specialty, cookers, and using Susy Soft Paws, owned by a small boy, as her model, goes into the matter of food, training, development, etc. There's an ease and friendliness in her handling of her subject that makes it a good general guide for young owners.
