My secretary elected me to read this book. If I made her do all the things suggested in this handbook for bosses. I think she'd walk out on me. Perhaps she thinks I should tighten the reins a bit, organize the office on more military (and less human) lines.... This should prove a useful book for big offices, where there are successive levels of authority. There are more tips on office organization than on office psychology. Not as amusing as it might be.
