A brief text by the Child Study's Anna Wolf, and an abundance (365) of photographs by a highly successful magazine photographer, bends the twig in a word and picture sequence of everyday circumstances in care and handling. Based on the premise that a youngster's security is dependent on his elders' attitudes, it covers the approach to and accomplishment of feeding, training, discipline, play, illness, and the aspects of relationships with the new baby, sitters, grandparents, etc... The photographs here will have to sell the book; it's a peripheral item.
