KIRKUS REVIEW

Grand Hotel plot which takes a group of four men and a girl, working in the bomber section of Ford's Willow Run plant, through the various stages of making a giant bomber. Drama and tragedy overtake them all but still the morning finds the bomber ready for its test flight. An interesting, non-union, non-flagwaving picture of the factory routine, machines and workers. The author's theme --if there is one -- seems to be that the average man will find his own salvation if he is left alone by government and organization. Adequate of its kind.
