Practically every horse book worth the paper it is printed on has a well-established market. This one -- while there is nothing startling nor exceptional about the beautiful wild horse coveted by the boy hero, -- is a good yarn. The villain of the piece, Pearly Maunderland, is equally eager to capture him, and make him into a bad bronco. Ben Darby and Maunderland have exciting times before Ben, aided by a friendly Mexican, and his sister, ventures into the wild country, captures and brands the horse, and gives him his freedom. Dependable Western- for the young teens.
