WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR JURY DUTY

There is enough information here to make this a useful product (the author has served for many years, has an accrediting introduction by a California Judge) and he provides a complete writ of certiorari on the procedures for the uninformed venireman. Stressing, not unduly, the obligation to serve and the validity of the jury trial in general even where it may seem tedious and time consuming, he reviews the particulars, the sometimes loaded legal approaches, the right way to assess evidence, the juror's conduct (""listen, stay awake and look smart"" ! ? !), the deliberation of the verdict. The dictionary of terms should help--more than the author's attempts to enliven the pall of the courtroom with factitious dialogue which demands a certain clemency.
