THE FESTIVAL OF FLORA

Lots of piffle having to do with frenzied commutation between contemporary traffic-jammed England and the sylvan glades of Roman Britain Where maidens cavort starkers in blue paint. Shunting back and forth between the two worlds is Dick Saltwick. His troubles in attempting to save his ancestral home from an advanced munitions complex are compounded by his love for two women -- 20th century Joan and the goddess-like Flora, several centuries removed. There is also a parallel between sibling feuds of the munition-king's family and that of the Emperor Septimus Severus, so that Dick, who opts for fun with Flora, is gifted with a larger view. The dialogue is mainly early water-cooler and geared to synopses. All bad.
