THE MAN WHO LAUGHED AT MURDER

By

Pub Date: April 7th, 1960
Publisher: Doubleday

A second appearance for Patrick Dawlish- (but Gordon Ashe has many pseudonyms- as Creasey, York, Marric, Hunt, etc.) exposes him to the retaliatory threats of Gorman, the convict who threatened to kill him on his release- now. The strangulation of the wife of Dawlish's friend- Beresford, more than one escape from phials of nitroglycerine, prove the deadly seriousness of the man but also suggest that others may be involved and must be identified before Dawlish- and his wife- are immune. As before, violence is concentrated and calculated to offer a more drastic type of action-entertainment.
